Origami Unicorn Installation at Logan Arcade

From the twisted mind of one of our label artists Peter Wano... comes THE ORIGAMI UNICORN installation in Logan Arcade!!!!!!!

Chicago, 2019: The rain slaps heavily against the pavement as you shield your face from the downpour. You know it's just around the corner, the blue haven bazaar that shelters all that come from the toxic rains that have been hitting Chicago lately. Stepping through the familiar archway, illuminated as a beacon for all those lost, you enter the Origami Unicorn. A place where from replicant to human, all are welcome.

We welcome you to join us Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th, 2017 to participate in a FREE interactive installation at Logan Arcade in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago’s Northwest side. Local artist Peter Wano and his team of local carpenters, printers and electricians will transform Logan Arcade into the Origami Unicorn, a tribute to the dystopian visions of Philip K. Dick, Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, and William Gibson’s Neuromancer. Explore the dismal techno-future while enjoying pinball, arcade games, and a fine selection of Pipeworks Brewing Co. beer, curated exclusively for this event.

Origami Unicorn is also a fundraiser for Hope For The Day, a non-profit that achieves proactive suicide prevention by offering outreach and mental health education through self-expression platforms. 100% of proceeds from select Pipeworks Brewing Company. kegs will be donated to directly to HFTD. Additional resources generously donated by Rebuilding Exchange, Logan Square Tattoo, communitas, and Neon Shop Fishtail. Representatives from HFTD will be on hand to answer questions and share literature. More info at: www.hftd.org

"From the shoulder of Orion to the glittering C-beams of Tannhauser Gate, it's important that we as a community stand side by side and let those around us in need know that they are not alone, and that we'll always have their backs. We, as an installation, believe that you are stronger than you think you are. It's okay not to be okay, have hope"
